Aromatherapy dates back to ancient civilisations such as the Greeks and Egyptians. They were among the first to explore and understand the therapeutic properties of the essential oils, which they used for healing and rituals. Another civilisation that helped shaped aromatherapy practises was Traditional Chinese Medicine. This was by emphasising the balance of energy flow within the body using the essential oils. These early practices are what shaped and laid the foundations for what we now know as Aromatherapy. Key practitioners Rene-Maurice Gattefosse and Robert Tisserand have explored the scientific understanding and properties of the essential oils benefits.

Stress Relief - The aromatic compounds from lots of essential oils are known to be relaxants and can help soothe your mind to release stress and anxiety.

Increase Energy Levels - Lots of essential oils are known for raising energy levels, increasing circulation, and stimulating the body and the mind, without any nasty side effects that come with other stimulants such as coffee, cigarettes, drugs or energy pills/drinks.

Can Aid Healing -  Some essential oils can increase the speed of healing. This can be because of increased oxygen and better blood flow to the wounds.
